About the event

Description:

Using interactive zines as thinking tools, we will spend some time thinking about what we want, need, and already have, as people and as artists. Then we will look at expenses, because eliminating an expense is a lot like income, and there can be overlap between personal and artistic expenses that is worth thinking about. Then we will explore a full range of possible sources for income, considering that any of them have both costs and benefits, and evaluating them in terms of what we each want, need and already have. We will go back and forth between group discussion and individual writing.

Participants will be welcomed to direct the content of the workshop to fit their interests and curiosities.

Practical Takeaways / Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify current and potential income streams related to their creative practice.

  • Understand how expenses, cost reduction, and income are interconnected.
